The 29th Street Community Center will be celebrating six years of being open in May. After being closed in 2011, this neighborhood asset has truly become a remarkable space run for and by the community.
To date, the Center has served over 1,500 residents of all ages through over 80 enrichment programs, more than 100 community events, and regular community association meetings.
For the first time in the Center's near six-year history, structured afterschool programming is being offered five days a week for over 60 students. The Center also offers employment opportunities for young people in the community year-round.
If you believe in the importance of sustaining free and low-cost programs for our community, safe and positive programs for youth, as well as employment opportunities for young people - please consider making a tax-deductible investment today!
You can also lend your expertise by joining the Center's Advisory Council, which meets on a monthly basis to provide strategic and financial planning and support for fundraisers for events. Please email 29SCC@strongcitybaltimore.org
